Its been a while

Well it has been a while since anything has been posted on this blog. The truth is that we haven't had a good year for 2011 as far as women's group. I think that we are getting back on track. In December, we had an annual favorite things party! It turned out really fun. I know the holidays are kind of crazy but a few were able to make it. We had some great gifts: Starbucks gift cards, feng shui candles, hobby lobby gift cards, movies and more. We also had pizza and everyone bought their favorite appetizer or dessert. It was some good food and great laughs. We learned alot about each other and talked about many different things. Over all it was a huge success! That night we also decided to bring favorite things back in the summer. Hopefully all of you will be able to make it this summer, it is truly a fun filled night. the best part is that you get to leave with 3 new favorite things to try!

At the favorite things party, Jen T. started talking about feng shui. I think just in general talk I learned so many new things. All of us girls were eager to learn more. The first two months of the year turned out to be extremely busy for us all so we made the feng shui for March. I think I am speaking for all of us, that we learned so much more! I have to personally thank Jen for offering up to teach us a few things about feng shui. And thank you to Camille for offering up her cute little condo as the location. A few things I learn:
  • You can feng shui everything, even down to your desk at work. Some people do it! I think I will start with my house first. It is kind of fun to see where you would put things even down to your desk.
  • Feng shui can be overwhelming. the idea is to not take on this huge project and do your entire house in once night but to take it one room at a time.
  • Each part of your hours represent different areas of your life, depending on your house set up.
  • One thing Jen said that really stood out is: 'only put things in your house that you love!' if you don't love it then it can become a drab and can create feelings of not wanting to spend time in that room.
  • another thing that Jen said that i loved was: 'if it is broken why keep it? people often wonder why their lives are not going right when they keep broken things all around them. If you are not going to fix it right then, then get rid of it. It brings in bad feng shui to keep negative things or energy in your home.' So true!
There are so many other points that I could talk on and on about, but it would be a very long blog post. Those are a few good points that stood out to me. Thank you again Jen! I think you did an amazing job!

We sent out an email for the next upcoming 3 months. April will be unfinished projects month. There are several of us that have unfinished project and it is just a matter of sitting down and getting them done. It is always better when you have friends around so we decide to make a night out of it! No dates have been set yet and location is to be determined. If you would like to host this one, please email me (Sam) or Kerri and we will set up the date with you.

May will be Essential oil. We will also need a host for this. The date will be TBD when we find a host. Again, if you want to host email us and we will set that up.

June will be our summer version of our favorite things. Please bring 3 of the same item that is your current favorite. It can be anything from plants, candles, gift cards, picture, book, movies, face product, hair product, body lotion, etc etc. We will also ask you to bring your favorite food that will go great with a BBQ. This will be held at Mary Ann's house. The address will be sent in an email along with a date as it get closer. This is a hit so I hope you can all make it.

This wraps up my post. If you have an idea for an upcoming month please let us know. We are always up for ideas! I hope to see you all very soon and next time I promise I will post pictures. AND not be so long between post. See you soon!!!

Witchy Witch!

I can't believe October is already gone and here we are in November! He comes the cold weather and some most exciting holidays. We have not decided fully on our November activity but there will be an email. For December we will be doing our 'favorite things' party. The basis is that you bring 3 of your new 'favorite' ______ (all 3 are the same item). It can be a candy bar, new soap, body spray, scarf, face wash, fingernail polish, or anything you can think of. This can also be as cheap or as expensive as you want! We then will draw names and you will go home with 3 new, different favorite things to try! I am really excited about this activity so be thinking about what your new favorite thing is. As I said we dont's have the details ironed out but they will be soon.

As for our October activity: We made Carmel apples and went to 'Witches Night Out' in Gardner village. What started off as a cold rainy wet day turned into an awesome night with the girls. We first met at Brittany Greenwood's house to make Carmel apples. They were so yummy! Our creation was the limits. We did everything you can think of and they turned out awesome.

After having fun doing that we headed to witches night out at Gardner Village. We first grabbed something to eat:

Then we headed around the shops and mingled with all our fellow witches:

Don't forget we had to check in with our blood sucking vampires at home (with grace too!):

The night turned out a complete success! It was a fun filled evening that is a 'for sure' to add to our list again! Thanks ladies for braving the weather with me.... (and thanks to Brit for letting us invade her home!)

Witches Night Out

Hey ladies... make sure to check out the second post below with picture of Cabin Fever Deuce. I have been slacking.

For October we are making Carmel apples and going to Witches Night Out at Gardner Village. We will be meeting at Brittany Greenwoods house just minutes away from GV We will be emailing that address out for those who need it. If you would like to meet us at GVyou are more than welcome to, remember that it will cost $5 to park. For those who will meet us at Brittany's house we will carpool over so we dont have to all pay for parking. We will be doing the carmel apples at 5 and then heading over to GV from there. You are also more than welcome to dress up as a witch or wear a hat. This is an event we are all excited for and we hope to see you there!

Cabin Fever Deuce

Well well well well well.. I am really slacking! I saw Townley's blog and realized it has been far too long since I have posted ANYTHING on here. I am slacking. Before the end of the year I will try harder to be better at this.

For September we had Cabin Fever Deuce. Alot of you couldn't come but it was so much fun for the few of us who did come! This time we had 2 new-bee's that came. Meet Carol..

We were very excited to have her flown in from Nevada to spend the weekend with us. I am hoping she will be back soon so more of you can get to know her. She had great advice and is a unique person I really enjoyed getting to know.

Our second was Brittany.

I already know her and that is how she came to know of this group. I love this girl to death and soon you will all get to meet her. She is the life of the party... she makes me laugh like no other and I know she will make you laugh too.
On Friday we (Kerri, Carol, Brittany and I) got up there a little later than normal and we had fun plans to enjoy an outdoor music festival but fall weather was starting to set in and it was only 30 degrees that night. Way too cold for us. Since there was only 4 of us up there at that time we decided to hit Main street for dinner and shopping.

After Dinner Mary Ann came up and joined us for a few laughs. She headed home that night but we all made sure we had our fun filled night including running around in swimsuits to find out the hot tub DIDNT work (man was it cold!), talking, crying, laughing and much more. We also got some Angel Oracle Cards and each took turns pick one. Carol was amazing in reading our cards and we had fun discussing each card meaning and what we felt they meant towards us personally. Bed time came quick and it was late....

Saturday we lounged around in bed. After spending some time in bed we got a start on shopping. Kerri, Carol and I spent all of Saturday musing around in the Tanger shops. The term Shop til you drop did apply. We had a late lunch/early dinner and I headed home for the night while Kerri and Carol stayed up there to enjoy some more time on Main street. We had a blast and I hope next year we will be able to do it again!

Updates!!!!

Ok so I have been slacking on the picture taking for the blog. I promise to get better. These are fun times that I would like to capture and I am trying to become better in general at taking pictures.

With that said I think we need an update...

In July we went to Laura's house for a "camp in". Summer is a great time to spend outdoors, even with our sisters. We spend the night roasting hot dogs and marsh mellows. We had plenty of food (which we always do... who doesn't LOVE food???) and met some new fun and exciting people. Laura graciously let us take over her kitchen and back yard for the night. Jen Townley made up some fun questions and we got the chance to get to know each other a little bit more and get to know those new-bees that came too! I am working on posting the citrus summer cooler that I made for the first time.. (life has been a bit crazy). Thank you to all those who came and thanks to Laura and Jen who put this fun activity together.

For August.. we have 2 different activities! our original activity is call dream works breathing. It is a form or relaxation and the cost with be $25. This activity is held on Friday, August 27th. Of course there will not be pictures of this because I am sure all of those in attendance will fall asleep. :)

Our 2nd activity is the Melting pot. I ran across a killer deal for a 'ladies night out" This is held on Tuesday August 17th. The cost is $25. This is required to have a reservation so if you would like to go please let us know as soon as possible. Once again I will try to take the camera and take some fun pictures!

DONT FORGET TO MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!!! for our Sept activity. Cabin fever deuce!!!!!
